Mackenzie Wagstaff

This website is a collection of my journey as an artist and future art educator. Art has always been a way for me to be creative, explore new ideas, and express myself, and I want to bring that same feeling into my future classroom.

Throughout this portfolio, you will find three main parts of my work: Teaching, My Art, and Research. My Teaching section shares my experiences and ideas as I continue learning how to create an art classroom where every student feels included, supported, and encouraged to be creative. My Art shows the different mediums and creative projects I have explored and how my own artwork continues to grow. Research shares what I have learned about art education, students, teaching strategies, and the ideas that are shaping me as an educator.

I see myself as someone who is always learning and trying new things. I don’t think being an artist means having to stick to one medium or one way of creating. I enjoy experimenting, making things with my hands, and finding new ways to turn ideas into something meaningful. I hope this portfolio shows not only the work I have created, but also the growth I have made as an artist, teacher, and learner.
