π· Photography Resources
Photography is one of the ways I capture the beauty I see around me. I enjoy photographing families, little ones, milestones, landscapes, and the small moments that might otherwise be overlooked.
Photography Resources
Photography composition and lighting
Portrait photography
Landscape photography
Photo editing and Photoshop
Creative photography inspiration
I believe there is beauty everywhere, and sometimes all it takes is looking through a different lens to see it.
ποΈ Art-Making Resources
I enjoy working with many different materials and have never wanted to limit myself to just one medium. Some of the areas I continue to explore include:
Drawing and illustration
Painting
Photography
Digital art and Photoshop
Ceramics and clay
Embroidery and textiles
Printmaking
Mixed media
These resources help me experiment with new techniques and continue developing my own artistic style.
π Art Education Resources
As a future art educator, I am interested in creating an art classroom where students feel comfortable being creative and expressing themselves. I believe students should have opportunities to explore, make choices, experiment, and find their own ways of creating.
Teaching Resources
New York State Visual Arts Standards
Inclusive art education resources
Special education resources
Lesson planning ideas
Inquiry-based learning
Social-emotional learning
Classroom art activities and project ideas
I especially value resources that encourage students to see their differences and individual ideas as strengths.
π Research & Learning
My education has helped me understand that being an artist and being a teacher are both continuous learning processes. I use research, books, articles, and educational theories to help me think more deeply about creativity, learning, and how students experience the art classroom.
Some of the topics I continue to explore include:
Inclusive education
Neurodiversity
Student choice and creativity
Inquiry-based learning
Social-emotional learning
Different ways students learn and communicate
Creating welcoming and accessible art classrooms
π Always Learning
I don’t think an artist ever really stops learning. There are always new materials to try, new artists to discover, new places to photograph, and new ideas to explore. I hope this collection continues to grow with me as I develop both my personal art practice and my teaching practice.
